Chili Seasoning

We use this mix of seasonings for our chili instead of buying the packets. This also ensures that it is "friendly". Feel free to adjust as desired for more or less spice. This recipe yields spice mix for 1 pot of chili.

Ingredients
2 Tbps. chili powder
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. oregano
3 tsp. cumin
salt and pepper to taste

Directions
Mix all seasonings together.

Add to chili, or store in an air tight container.

Flavacol

This is the stuff movie theatres use to make their popcorn so tasty, well that and butter flavoring, but it's mostly this stuff. Its ingredients are: salt, artificial butter flavor, and food coloring. Not much, but it's fabulous!

We purchased ours at Gordon Food Service, and it really does make an enormous difference. However, this salt is not meant to be sprinkled on, it needs to be combined with the oil that the popcorn pops in. For best results at home we recommend the Whirley Pop.
